GOOD ENERGY GROUP PLC DECLARE MAIDEN DIVIDEND
6 December 2010: Good Energy Group PLC, the award-winning renewable energy business, today announces the declaration of a dividend of 2.5 pence per ordinary share payable on 31 December 2010 to shareholders on the Register as at 17 December 2010. The ordinary shares will become ex dividend on 15 December.
The Board of Good Energy Group PLC is pleased to be able to pay this first dividend to Good Energy shareholders in recognition of their support over the years. The company has gone from strength to strength over this time and the payment of dividends is part of the natural evolution of the company.
In commenting on this announcement, John Sellers, Group Chairman, said:
“We believe that growing the company is not inconsistent with providing a cash return to shareholders, who have supported our mission by providing capital. It is pleasing to be able to make this announcement at a time when we are also notifying our customers that there are no plans to increase our energy prices for the winter months.”
