Appointment of Non Executive Director
Good Energy Group PLC, the holding company of renewable energy businesses Good Energy Ltd and Good Energy Generation Ltd, announces the appointment of Mr Lawrence Churchill to its main board as Non Executive Director with effect from 1 December 2004. Lawrence Churchill's details are set out below. Lawrence Churchill's former executive positions have included Zurich Financial Services; Chief Executive, UK, Irish & International Life Dec 2002-June 2004 UNUM Ltd; Chairman and Managing Director 1998-2002. UNUM Ltd is the principal European trading company of UNUM Provident, the world's largest disability insurer. National Westminster Bank plc 1991-1998; Chief Executive, Nat West Life 1992- 1996; Managing Director, NatWest Life & Investments 1995-1998 (having joined NatWest in 1991 to set up NatWest Life Assurance Ltd from scratch.) Mr Churchill is currently Chairman (designate) of the Pensions Protection Fund, and is a Director of the Financial Ombudsman Service, and will continue to undertake these roles. Mr Churchill, 58, is an Oxford Graduate and lives in Bath. He is married and has four children. The directors of Good Energy Group PLC accept responsibility for the contents of this announcement.
