GOOD ENERGY GROUP PLC RELEASES INTERIM RESULTS
Positive results show Good Energy maintain leading position in renewable supply market The Board of Good Energy Group plc, owner of Good Energy the UK's only dedicated 100% renewable electricity supplier, has announced Interim Results for the six months ended June 30th 2009 showing positive growth in customer numbers, revenue and profit despite the harsh market conditions. Highlights of the interim results include: - Increased customer numbers and maintained electricity customer base in difficult market conditions;
- Improvement in financial results;
- Prestigious awards for products, staff and management;
- New gas business developing well;
- Good Energy's pioneering vision for a low-carbon economy now supported by Government policy.
For the first half of 2009, Revenue and Operating Profit exceeded the same period last year by 29% and 33% respectively. In addition Good Energy Group plc reported a profit before tax (un-audited) of £273,175, 13% higher than the first half of 2008.
